Kevin was born and raised in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Kevin was a remarkable young man. He was loving, very kind and intelligent with a great sense of humor. He had an infectious smile, along with an adorable dimple, and was loved by everyone he met. He was accepting of all people and made friends easily.

Kevin attended Goshen Elementary, Forest Oak Middle School and graduated in 2009 from Gaithersburg High School.  After high school he attended Montgomery College but decided after one year to join the Navy to travel and see the world.  He enlisted and left for boot camp in July 2010.

After his tour in Spain he went for further advanced electronics training at the Naval Training Center in San Diego, California.  After completing his training, he went on to his first ship assignment onboard the USS John McCain, homeported in Yokosuka​, Japan. While stationed on the USS John S. McCain he served as an Electronics Technician.  Kevin deployed with the crew to Australia, Vietnam, Guam, South Korea, and the Philippines. Kevin loved to visit art galleries and collect unusual trinkets during his travels.  Our family was told that Kevin was known as a “Renaissance Man” by his fellow sailors on the McCain.  I couldn’t think of a better way to describe him.
